- The Golden Knights had become a very large and very powerful group, they did many other things in the community.
- In the fall of 2000 the Golden Knights group disbanded.
- This was a hard blow to many in the DreamScape and left a large void in the community.
 
- In response some members formed the DreamKeepers.
- The DreamKeepers took over many of the things the GKs had done. Such as:
- welcoming new members
- running a shop where the profits went to helping new members
- maintaining a welcome turf to help new members
- Shatzi and Song continued to run the Newbie Welcome Project.
- This project was funded by the DreamKeepers for about a year.
- This project maintained a turf with paints and heads for new members.
- They also had a turf with chests with 5 items to give to new members.
As always the regular members also continued helping new members.
